Sustained Professional Purchasing Application


The Sustained Professional Purchasing Award is presented annually and recognizes all member agencies who have demonstrated sustained excellence in purchasing standards during the calendar year.

PROCESS FOR APPLICATION:

  • The 2023 SPPA Application is available below. Once an agency completes the application, please email the application and supporting documents to sppa@cagponline.org.
  • The agency must email the payment receipt and supporting documentation as one (1) single PDF document (not a separate PDF for each item) to sppa@cagponline.org. If the file is too large, the applicant may break the PDF into two (2) documents.
  • All links must be embedded links. Google can provide instructions on how to attach an imbedded link into a document. Test the links out prior to submitting.
  • All information, screenshots, sample forms MUST be within the award time period of December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2023 unless another time frame was requested (see the table below):

Please submit the supporting documentation as a searchable PDF format document via email to sppa@cagponline.org. If the supporting documentation is submitted as two (2) PDF files, then both PDF e-mail attachments must be clearly identified and labeled and formatted as searchable PDF documents.

The application fee of $75.00 may be paid with a check sent through the mail, or the fee can be paid with a credit card through the NCAGP website: https://www.cagponline.org. Credit card payments can be made by clicking on the SPPA link under the "Upcoming Events" section at the top of the NCAGP home page.

If paying by check, make the check payable to the North Carolina Association of Governmental Purchasing, and mail the check to:

The official submitting the application will be advised of the decision and will, upon completion of the review process, be provided with an evaluation report.

This award covers the period from December 1 through November 30 (130 points required). Participants should provide complete, detailed documentation to support each section.
