Steven Graham, C.P.M., CLGPO, will once again lead the popular CLGPO Exam Review. The review, sponsored by the Carolinas Association of Governmental Purchasing and the Certification Committee of the CAGP, is ideal for all candidates who intend to sit for the CLGPO certification exam on Sunday, February 26, 2012.
What: CLGPO Exam Review
When: February 7, 2012 from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm. Registration will begin at 7:45 am
Where: City of Greensboro Learning Center. 1001 Fourth St., Greensboro NC 27405. Blair Richmond Room basement floor.
Program: This session is designed for local government purchasing officials who are in the process of obtaining their designation as a Certified Local Government Purchasing Officer (CLGPO). This session will prepare its participants for the CLGPO examination that is sponsored by the Carolinas Association of Governmental Purchasing (CAGP) and administered by the UNC-CH School of Government (SOG). Subjects to be covered include local government law, contract law, competitive bidding requirements, disposal of property, conflicts of interest/gifts and favors, and construction contracting. Emphasis will be on the theory and application of NC purchasing law and practice. Select the link above for the complete agenda.

On-line registration is available at www.cagponline.org. There is no registration fee. Expenses related to travel and accomodations may be incurred on an individual basis.

Lunch will be provided by CAGP.
Certification Credit: This session includes Continuing Education hours equivalent to .86 certification point for those who attend that are in the process of obtaining their CLGPO designation. This session is optional and is not a required course for the CLGPO certification. Any current certified CLGPO may use this class one time in the five year period allowed to obtained re-certification point.
*CLGPO APPLICATION DEADLINE: The deadline for CLGPO Certification applications (including application to take the CLGPO examination on Sunday, February 26th) is December 1, 2011. Applications must be submitted in pdf form to Norma Houston at nhouston@sog.unc.edu.
